This page explains the small files and settings Quelight LTD stores on your device when you use www.quelight.com, and the choice you have over them. We keep this to the minimum: nothing optional is switched on until you say yes.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. We also use your browser's local storage, which works the same way. In this policy "cookies" means both.
2. Cookies we always use (strictly necessary)
These make the site work and cannot be switched off. They do not track you across other websites.
- Signing in: keeps you signed in to your account (local storage, until you sign out).
- Security: protects forms, checkout and your account from misuse (session).
- Your cookie choice: remembers what you chose on the cookie banner so we do not ask on every page (six months).
- Your display settings: remembers light or dark mode and reduced motion if you choose them (until you change them).
- Checkout: payments are taken by Stripe on its own secure page, which sets cookies it needs to prevent fraud. See Stripe's privacy policy.
3. Cookies we use only if you say yes
- Analytics (Google Analytics 4). Tells us which pages people visit, how they arrive and where they get stuck, so we can improve the site. It records things like the page, your device type, your rough location by country or city, and a random identifier, not your name or email. Google processes this data for us. We keep it for two months. Cookies:
_gaand_ga_*, up to 13 months. - Advertising (Google AdSense). Shows adverts on some pages to help keep the platform free for artists and audiences. With your consent Google may use cookies to choose adverts and to measure them, and these cookies can recognise you on other websites. Cookies set by Google, up to 13 months. You can also manage Google's advertising at adssettings.google.com.
4. Embedded video
Our video player counts plays so artists can see their numbers, without using a cookie. If a show page includes a YouTube or Vimeo video, that provider's cookies are only set once you press play, and are covered by their own policies.
5. Your choice
When you first visit we show a small banner. Accept switches on analytics and advertising. Essential only keeps both off. Choose lets you pick one without the other. If you close the banner without choosing, both stay off. You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings.
6. Changes
If we change the cookies we use, we will update this page and ask you again where the change needs your consent.
