Quelight bridges the gap between live performance and media production, working closely with theatre makers, producers, and performers to document their work in a way that feels both authentic and impactful.
Our Mission
Quelight exists to document, preserve and promote theatrical productions throughout their entire lifecycle, from early development through archive recordings to fully released Pro Shots. Every show gets a permanent digital home, and every creative gets a professional portfolio built around the work they've actually made.
We sit at the intersection of performance and media, combining technical expertise with a genuine investment in the work we document. Live performance deserves a life beyond the stage, and thoughtful, high-quality documentation plays a vital role in making that possible.
We film it properly. Archive recordings are single-camera documentation and Pro Shots are multi-camera, with broadcast-quality sound on every capture. We work alongside the company and take the time to understand what the production is reaching for, so the recording carries how it felt to be in the room, not only how it looked.
You can watch it anywhere. On a phone, a tablet, a laptop or a TV. A show you buy stays in your library, which lets artists share their work more widely and keep it for good.
The money goes back to the work. Revenue returns to the productions and the creatives who make these shows possible, and we want documentation of this quality within reach of the makers who have not traditionally had it.

Single-camera documentation
A professional single-camera capture used for funding, grant reporting and internal review. May be free, paywalled or time-limited. Many productions start their Quelight relationship here.
Pro Shot
Multi-camera release
A professionally edited multi-camera recording made for public release. Frequently paywalled, often released alongside bonus content, soundtrack downloads and behind-the-scenes material.

Quelight profiles are designed to replace the patchwork of personal websites, Spotlight extracts and PDF CVs that creatives juggle today. Every actor, director, writer, designer, technician and composer can claim a free profile with their own @handle and start building a permanent record of their work.
Profiles are modular: add credits, biography, showreels, headshots, audio reels, social links and current projects. Every show you appear in links straight back to your profile, so your filmed work, stage credits and development projects all live together in one place.

Theatres, arts centres and festival spaces get a dedicated hub on Quelight: a place to publish what's on, archive what has been, and show producers why your space is worth booking. Venue admins can edit their page, manage hosted productions, upload imagery and link out to box office.
Every show filmed in your space links back to your venue page, and every venue page surfaces opening times, location and an embedded map so audiences can plan a visit.

A small team, built by working theatre-makers
Quelight is founded and run by Flynn Kelly, a London-based filmmaker and theatre practitioner who spent years watching brilliant productions disappear the moment they closed. The platform grew out of a simple idea: every show deserves a permanent home, and every creative deserves a professional portfolio that keeps pace with their career.
Today the team works directly with producers, venues and performers across the UK, capturing productions on camera, building show pages, verifying professional profiles and supporting creatives through the platform's day-to-day operation. We are a small, hands-on team, and real people reply to every message.
