Quelight bridges the gap between live performance and media production — working closely with theatre makers, producers, and performers to document their work in a way that feels both authentic and impactful.
Quelight exists to document, preserve and promote theatrical productions throughout their entire lifecycle — from early development through archive recordings to fully released Pro Shots. Every show gets a permanent digital home, and every creative gets a professional portfolio built around the work they've actually made.
We sit at the intersection of performance and media, combining technical expertise with a genuine investment in the work we document. Live performance deserves a life beyond the stage, and thoughtful, high-quality documentation plays a vital role in making that possible.
Multi-camera captures with broadcast-quality audio. We approach each project collaboratively, taking time to understand the creative vision so the final output reflects not just what the work looks like, but how it feels to experience it live.
Watch on any device — phone, tablet, laptop or TV. Your purchased shows are always in your library, helping artists share their work more widely and preserve it meaningfully.
Revenue goes back to the productions and creatives who make these shows possible. We're particularly interested in making high-quality documentation more accessible to those who may not have traditionally had access to it.
Every show on Quelight has a place to grow. Productions can begin as early-stage development projects, progress into archived performances, and ultimately become fully released professional recordings. Audiences and industry can follow the whole journey.
Development
Rehearsal footage, design concepts, script extracts and production notes. Usually free to access, and often public, unlisted or password protected.
Archive
A professional single-camera capture used for funding, grant reporting and internal review. May be free, paywalled or time-limited — many productions start their Quelight relationship here.
Pro Shot
A professionally edited multi-camera recording made for public release. Frequently paywalled, often released alongside bonus content, soundtrack downloads and behind-the-scenes material.
Quelight connects the people who make theatre, the venues that host it, the audiences who love it, and the industry that programmes it.
Actors, directors, writers, designers, technicians and composers building professional portfolios.
Promote productions, document development, manage cast and crew, and monetise recordings.
Theatres, arts centres and festival spaces promoting activity and archiving what's been staged.
Discover productions, follow a show's journey, watch recordings and support artists directly.
Discover emerging work, track development and assess shows for programming opportunities.
Quelight profiles are designed to replace the patchwork of personal websites, Spotlight extracts and PDF CVs that creatives juggle today. Every actor, director, writer, designer, technician and composer can claim a free profile with their own @handle and start building a permanent record of their work.
Profiles are modular — add credits, biography, showreels, headshots, audio reels, social links and current projects. Every show you appear in links straight back to your profile, so your filmed work, West End credits and development projects all live together in one place.
Cast and crew listings on filmed shows auto-attach to your profile.
Embed video, audio and image galleries with no external hosting.
Share a single Quelight link in place of multiple portfolio sites.
Be discoverable to producers, casting and festival promoters.
Theatres, arts centres and festival spaces get a dedicated hub on Quelight — a place to publish what's on, archive what has been, and show producers why your space is worth booking. Venue admins can edit their page, manage hosted productions, upload imagery and link out to box office.
Every show filmed in your space links back to your venue page, and every venue page surfaces opening times, location and an embedded map so audiences can plan a visit.
Publish your current season and archive past shows in one feed.
Opening hours, address and a live map embedded on the page.
Filmed work on your page attracts new producers and tours.
Verified badges build trust with audiences and industry.
The Explore map is a visual way to find theatres, arts centres and performance spaces — from off West End basements to regional touring houses. Pan, zoom and click any pin to jump straight into a venue's page, see what's currently on, and find filmed work shot in that space.
Browse venues geographically rather than by name alone.
Every pin links to the shows captured at that venue.
Hours, address and links to the venue's own site.
Badges signal authenticity to audiences, producers, casting and festival programmers — so you know who's who at a glance.

Quelight is founded and run by Flynn Kelly, a London-based filmmaker and theatre practitioner who spent years watching brilliant productions disappear the moment they closed. The platform grew out of a simple idea: every show deserves a permanent home, and every creative deserves a professional portfolio that keeps pace with their career.
Today the team works directly with producers, venues and performers across the UK — capturing productions on camera, building show pages, verifying professional profiles and supporting creatives through the platform's day-to-day operation. We are a small, hands-on team, and real people reply to every message.
