    About This Show

'I would never get a dog. Such a tell-tale sign of loneliness.' Jack is struggling, and everyone else seems to be moving on. Getting ahead. He needs a break, and when it finally comes, it's the worst thing that could ever happen. Written and performed by Daniel Adolfsson (The Bridge, SVT), Bad Boy is a Nordic dark comedy with original live songs about chasing dreams and confronting the unbearable vulnerability of being truly seen. Directed by Lilac Yosiphon (Baylis Director, The Old Vic), co-created with Charlotte Davidson, and produced by Nerve Creations.

"Adolfsson mines his character's succession of personal and professional disasters for plenty of laughs without ever losing the vulnerability beneath them."

"Mesmerising. Cute. Funny. Sweet. A beautiful singing voice and guitar playing as well as a twisty story. Eat your heart out ABBA! A lovely team of Daniel, Charlotte & co. all the way from Sweden! Loved it! Thank you! x"

"One of the best story-telling pieces of drama I have ever seen! Genuinely, so clear, so well performed - the sole actor plays all the roles... A heart-breaking story, delivered with such warmth, and soul... Life affirming, and 2 beautiful songs, performed on his guitar!!! Wow!! See this show if you possibly can!! You'll be so glad you did!!! My joint favourite show..."

"A little gem of a show. Hidden away in the depths of Underbelly, this carefully crafted storytelling show is worth seeking out. It engaged me right from the start and carried me along the river of the events like the character's annual canoe trip with great assurance, humour and warmth. I wasn't quite sure where the story was set (spoiler, Sweden), so maybe that could have been made clearer, but a minor quibble only and in some ways this added to the sense of exploration. Highly recommended."
