    About This Show

London, 1918. When wartime hysteria pillories Oscar Wilde's Salomé for corrupting the nation with homosexuality, Robert Ross – the late author’s literary executor, devoted friend, and "first boy" (or so he believes) – is once again made to defend the legacy he sacrificed his life to protect. As courtroom circus shatters the memories he has spent decades curating, the line between devotion and delusion begins to blur. This is a story about saints who are canonised by love and fools who sacrificed themselves for it. Oxford New Writing Festival runner-up: Best Play.

"A wonderful look into the lives of those who sacrificed so much for the preservation of the legacy of Oscar Wilde. Every actor played their parts beautifully, with special consideration to the actor playing Ross, who's ending monologue I would have cried at if I wasn't severely dehydrated from a day of exploring Edinburgh. Zhang's writing was brilliant, with so many historical details packed into a script that still felt light and full of energy. Looking forward to seeing any work in the future from this writer and crew."

"A truly fuve star performance. The staging and the writing of this play was fantastic. The amazing cast really brought it together with incredible performances particularly from Peregrine Negar and Charlie Lewis."

"Me and my girlfriend planned a 6-day trip to Edinburgh this month, and we decided to book a theatrical piece as part of our Fringe experience. We chose this piece and we are very glad we did: the recitation is stunning, every actor is so egregious in their part and the final monologue/closing scene of the piece almost moves me to tears. I wish to ser more of these talented young actors, and I Wish them to conquer more audiences and more screens in the future"
